Wednesday 30 May 2012: Yesterday Morning

Having remembered that I needed to leave the house at 8/8:15am at 20 to 12 last night I managed to change my alarm through blurry eyes lol
Don't quite know where my head was setting it for quarter to 8 and not quarter to 7??? But hey ho I did it and dragged myself out of bed and straight out to check on Grommit.
This was the sight that greeted me 5 very fluffy, very inquisitive baby turkeys. Grom is being a fantastic mum and I was happy to leave the new family to it for the day. Weirdfish was home and he would pop out to check every so often anyway. Our biggest concern was them not being able to jump back into their nest if they went for a wander in the run.

My day at work wasn't the best with my employer being in a proper mood in the morning. I don't blame her but it's hard to deal with when you have been there every day for the last week and just want a day off.
The afternoon was better and we headed out for some retail therapy and a trip to see her new house to see how the renovations are coming along.
When we got back to her flat a friend was waiting so by the time I left at 10pm there were giggles and wine and chocolate cake vibrating through the place.
I made it home by 11pm and then had to go do a quick check on a duck that was limping badly, I found a slight cut on her foot so popped on some vaseline. The warm weather making the ground hard isn't great for the ducks. They have plenty of ponds but that isn't much use when being chased by an amorous drake!

Eventually jumped into bed at 00:20 !!!!

Day off tomorrow :oD - well I've had it today, it was great but I'll leave that for today's blip :o)
