Not sofa to fall

I was lying on the settee reading, when George stretched himself out along the backrest.  "Hold on to me," he said, "until I tell you to let go."

It seemed easiest just to go along with it. When I did let go, he tumbled off dramatically - landing with a bang, an "ow!" and a laugh.

"It hurts, but it's so fun," was his verdict. "And it only hurts on one side." 

Luckily he did get bored with his new game, though.  Eventually.


Thanks for all the kind wishes on yesterday's unexpected blipday, by the way. They turned an unbirthday into more of an occasion.
