Heylor

Spent the morning at another museum, Tangwick Haa at Eshaness - found an old picture of Grandad on one of his Triumph motorbikes! After a lovely walk, we drove over to Heylor on Ronas Voe and found a wonderfully peaceful beach (with the ubiquitous colony of Arctic Terns). Could have spent all day there....

Back over to Braewick for a lovely lunch at the cafe with Aunty Hazel and Grandad, then all drove over to her tiny wee 7-pupil primary school at North Roe. It's an amazing school, and I would love to send Daniel there - but sadly the council are keen to shut it down. The long way home took in Ollaberry, Sullom, Sullom Voe oil terminal, Lower Voe and down to a wee waterfall, known as 'Ramnahol' (something to do with ravens) on the Burn of Lunklet near East Burrafirth. Sadly not much water in it but it was a pretty place, and the westwards view from the top of the road to it was stunning - sadly the sun was too low to get a good shot.
