Frame-making Class

Many thanks for all your wonderful comments on my wall yesterday. I'm quite chuffed with it and am looking forward to a sunny day when I can sit on the one seat I incorporated into the side.

This evening I went to a frame-making class at the workshop of Alan, one of the tutors on my beekeeping course. There are seven different types of beehives in use in Britain and they all require slightly different types of frames. However, the most common hive is the National and this is the type of frame I was working on today.

I managed to make two frames and if it's not raining tomorrow, I'm hoping to visit my "nuc" at the University, so I can give these to Faye for her tall hive.
