By bus

On a mission not to use the car this week, and not being able to do the walking we had planned to do, today we took a bus from Swanage to Bournemouth. A great journey, going through lovely countryside and coast, and crossing by the Shell Bay to Sandbanks ferry in the process. We’ve done this by car before, but not by bus. See Hildarose’s picture of this ferry.

A glorious day, it was nice to see so many people on the beach and in the gardens, enjoying the sunshine. And there were as many young families and language students about, as there were ‘older’ people, making it very lively.

I know this is a ‘postcard’ type picture and not very creative, but with a sky like that, a ‘proper’ sea with waves and miles of golden sand, what else is there to do! And no I’ve never seen a bicycle used as a clothes hanger before either!
