Cherry blossom time on the #CanonGREAT

Popped up to the Canongate Kirk this morning to take a photograph of the cherry blossom.  It's just coming in to bloom.  The tree on the left was planted by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on 25 June 1952 on her first official visit to Edinburgh.  The tree on the right was planted by HRH Duke of Edinburgh on 26 June 1953.

If you're in the area you can now partake of a coffee in the courtyard of the Museum of Edinburgh courtesy of the runners from Sugarhouse Sandwiches.  Lovely idea.
