June Challenge - Inspired By - Rose and Floorboard

One of my favourite all time photographs is Rose and Driftwood by Ansel Adams. He shows how, on a day when he couldn't go out because of the weather, with simple props it is possible to create something beautiful. And he achieved this on a very basic film camera, no automatics for anything.

My attempt at a re-creation of it gets nowhere near the beauty of his. I couldn't find any roses that were particularly open, either in my garden or when shopping. I didn't have a nice piece of driftwood, but I do have a wooden floor in my living room. The light was also very different.

So here is my Rose and Floorboard.
