Cistus Purpureus (Rock Rose)

I had a lovely surprise this morning when I spotted this cistus in flower, the sun was shining on it. I think it's been in the garden for quite a long time and might have been one of a group from my friends at Hortus Monensis.

The garden is wonderful after yesterday's rain, everything looking fit to burst.
