Pedal On Parliament

Much to Miss Flum's disappointment we elder Flums did not join her in taking part but opted to be observers and photographers of the event.

Traffic congestion, road closures and our bus's protracted stop en route meant that we missed the start but were able to see these recumbent bikes pass by (the thumbnail is of a tandem) and several Bromptons. We followed them all down to the Scottish Parliament, noticed a few familiar faces and caught up with Miss Flum in time for the speeches.

It is to be hoped that the rally encourages the Powers That Be to continue investment in safe cycling routes and that other road users acknowledge the vulnerability of cyclists and take care to prevent accidents.
