Escape to the highlands

A last dash north to catch the remaining patchwork snows on the northern slopes is enough to put a smile on anyone's face but E is positively hopping from peak to peak. 

On this day we climbed 5 Munros but only managed to tick one off our list. Two we had climbed before and they had to be climbed again, both on the way out and the way back to get to Sail Chaorainn (1002m).

This view looks down to Loch Cluanie at the head of Glen Shiel and shows rather splendidly all (I think) of the 7 Munro peaks of the south Glen Shiel ridge.

We are staying up near Cannich but have no internet connection and mobile coverage is seriously poor too, so have had to survive with occasional dashes closer to civilisation just to pick up emails and stay in contact. Hence a week of back-blipping starting from here.
