The Road into Skippers

Skippers Canyon, near Queenstown, holds a special place in the hearts of many people, who have either lived there or travelled there. It's extremely rugged countryside and the road in there is not for the fainthearted. Most rental car companies will not allow you to take their cars on the road. Further on, at the Branches Station, I was lucky enough to help out at the annual Wakatipu High School camp for several years - an amazing event.

We had heavy rain overnight, the Skippers River is bank to bank, and we were lucky to see this light on the mountains; it started pouring again 5 minutes later.
