Madeira - Day 9 - (Funchal 'Sunrise')

Unfortunately the headland to the west of Funchal blocks the actual sunrise from visibility ... and the headland to the east blocks the actual sunset ... but I was determined to make the most of what could be seen ...

Hopefully, this is a reasonable compromise ... :o)

A short while after I took this shot, the sun 'peeped' out from behind it's hiding place, but by then it was way too strong to do justice to the serene foreground of Funchal Harbour ...

So, this should more accurately be called a "sun-risen" image, but I was still reasonably happy with it ... :o)
