Saturday 2 June 2012: Lorraine Clewlow

For the next couple of days in All saints Church in Bakewell, local artist Lorraine Clewlow has an exhibition of her work.
I met her this afternoon for a cup of coffee and some delicious cake (as always) at the cafe in the church.
Here's a brief description of her work which is well worth a visit to see.

This work, born from loss, aims to sculpturally articulate pain, vulnerability, fragility, damage, healing, growth and repair. Viewing each piece is a solitary experience, like a whisper or a secret.
