The Kea.......

.........NZ’s Parrot

The Kea is only found in the mountains of the South Island, NZ.
This bird was photographed at the Otira Viaduct Lookout, ‘Deaths Corner’ near Arthur’s Pass.

Arthur’s Pass is situated in the Southern Alps. It became the South Island’s first national park in 1929, and links the east and west coasts of NZ.

Extra photos.

3: Late afternoon. These trees are growing in Lake Brunner near Mitchells, a place which is at the southern end of the lake.

If you are interested, I have added two back blips, both with extra photos.
