The Life of Bri

Mi-ram-culous

No horses here at the minute, so for the last month we've had 16 one-year-old rams in our fields - before they head off to market.  (The farmer needs some extra land, we need ours grazed a bit, so its a win-win).

This morning, Mrs B said "What's that out in the field with that sheep?  It looks like a lamb!"

And indeed it was, a very freshly popped out lamb.  So make that 15 rams, 1 ewe and now one lamb.

The poor unfortunate had arrived in the worst weather we've had in months - freezing rain blowing on a hooley - and didn't look in great shape.  So we managed to corral all the actual rams in another field and build a wee straw-bale shelter for the lamb until backup arrived - in the shape of a slightly embarrassed farmer.  Lamby has now been taken off to get some TLC along with his mother, but we might see him/her back in a few weeks.
