Friday 1 June 2012: Two tiny little rebels without a cause
Our playdate was interesting today. It's not yet a full moon but the kids were all a bit off. It was just us, A's pal S (with her mom M and baby bro S) and A's pal R (with her mom J and baby bro H). We normally meet at one of our houses (although like everything else at the moment, I'm quite behind on hosting myself) but instead met at the Links as it was supposed to be sunny.
The kids were all just at each other, taking toys, making each other cry, not wanting to play, etc. This photo captures it a bit, although ironically by this point they were actually all fine. When A found out we'd be going to Costa with S and family, he looked at her and said he had to hold her hand. Bless. And then they discussed their jackets, A saying his had a dinosaur while S went through all the colors on hers. Here's what they were really like (hardly the Bonnie and Clyde pictured here :).
We had lunch at Costa and then A, M and I went back to the park, set out our well-used picnic blanket, fed M his trio of root vegetables, played with a ball, blew bubbles, all the usual stuff, while the sun was shining. And A was fine the rest of the day as well--perhaps he'd just gotten up on the wrong side of the cot this morning.
