Houses of Wilmington #32

Cameron-Hillman House,  built by Captain George Cameron (1750-1823) as his family residence.  Purchased by Captain Peter Hollman in 1814 and sold to H.F. Newark in 1910, remaining in the family until 1967.  This Federal style house sits on a hill overlooking the Cape Fear River.  If you look closely (or look at the extra color image) you will see the Cape Fear Memorial Bridge in the background.  The house was originally across the street and was moved to 501 Surrey Street on April 16, 1973.

Thanks to a reminder of this series by lynmac2, I have decided to continue this series.  The other houses can be found HERE
