Tough lives and tough women

There are about  40,000 people in Gaza that suffer from different kinds of disabilities. The number is increasing due to the frequent military attacks on Gaza.
They are marginalized in the society with heartbreaking consequences.

These women refuse to be victims after joining an empowerment course by Palestinian Center for Democracy and Conflict Resolution.

As so many times before I am struck by the amazing women I meet in Palestine.  True role models for a better life in dignity.
