Brave heart

There are a few "Bleeding Heart" plants at the bottom of the garden where the acid loving plants are growing.  All of the Bleeding Hearts have done well in surviving the very cold temperatures and winds during the past few weeks.  This is great as they bring some colour to the garden - as opposed to the poor Pieris in the extra blip, which appears to have died off.  I don't know what to do with it.  I wondered if I should cut it back by removing all the dead fronds of leaves or whatever they are called?
