Sunday 3 June 2012: Silkkiuikku
Rain ceased in the afternoon so I took a walk at Väinölänniemi. There were nests of quite a many Great Crested Grebes (Podiceps cristatus). This one had made its nest just about two metres from the walkway. There were also muskrats and a female mallard with very small and cute baby mallards so I'll go back to take some more photos next week.
