Lurg Mhor

Up early and struck camp, packed and headed off up the track to the hills.. Managed to to get to Bendronaig Bothy reasonably early. Having had the benefit of wifi in the pub we knew that the forecast for Saturday into Sunday was grim. Initial plan was to camp by Loch Calvie do the hills , camp and wander out. One look at the bothy, it's flush bog and sizeable firewood stash left by the estate sold it on us. We dumped the tents, stoves, sleeping bags etc and headed off to the hills. It was a fairly easy ascent with absolutely glorious views, once off the hill it was a short tramp back to the bothy for dinner.

As predicted the weather did close in and the fire and sturdy roof was well appreciated. Should have taken more lager in....
