Sunday 3 June 2012: Oriental Poppy
I'm trying really hard not to spend any money on myself as I'm saving for our holiday (San Francisco and Napa Valley) BUT... shopping does keep me happy :) The girls and I got soaked on our walk this morning so I decided that I really must go out and stock up on 9pm treats to cheer them up.
Whilst I was out I also got them a card and a present to give to Husband for a belated Father's Day when he gets back and then I accidentally kept shopping and bought him some more birthday gifts. I got some books for myself too but they were all half price and so that doesn't count.
Husband has complimentary wireless access in his hotel and at the stadium and this, alongside WhatsApp, Viber, Facetime, Blip, Twitter and Instagram, mean that we are in touch throughout the day for free - phonecalls, texts messages and seeing each other's photographs. A huge thank you goes out to modern technology!
He spent over 10 hours at the stadium today and is still feeling quite overwhelmed by how much there is to do but he did sound a bit more positive than he did yesterday. I also spoke to my auntie and uncle today about their holiday to Philadelphia to visit my cousin and his wife. I filled Husband in and he said we definitely need to get out there. We're aiming for next February half term with a night or two in New York. Lots to look forward too xx
