The Venetian Twins

So we went to the theatre today, and saw this wonderful Scottish-Italian play. A very, very funny remake of an old classic, with the identical twins arriving in the same town at the same time to get married and everyone getting very confused between the rich country bumpkin and the poor idealist.

The translation to Scots adds a whole new level of colour and humor to the play, and is exceptionally well acted, bringing back the idea of the Shakespearean or Victorian theatres as somewhere to go for an evenings entertainment and fun, rather than to 'appreciate the arts'.
