Monday 4 June 2012: Glastonbury Abbey
After the morning swim, we cycled over to Glastonbury for a wander round the Abbey. Sadly, there was no sign of the 50s themed fair promised in the local paper, nor of my golfing partner who acts as a guide, dressed as a monk, occasionally (at the Abbey, not on the golf course!). However, it was still proving very popular and getting a shot without people in proved difficult.
Elton John was brilliant last night, by the way, even though the heavens opened just as he came on stage and we spent the evening with very wet, cold and uncomfortable clothes! A real showman, he was on stage for over 2 hours, hammering out the hits.
