Demolition

So, we were on the bus on the way to Glasgow when the driver announced that we would be late arriving as there were delays due to a bridge being demolished. We envisaged watching a bridge being blown up before our very eyes while we waited patiently in a queue of traffic.
This was the actual scene - six peckers breaking up the concrete of what was clearly a small remaining portion of the bridge, while we crept past, and rejoined the motorway shortly afterwards, arriving only ten minutes late. The map position is approximate as I can't work out where we were.

The extra photo was taken four hours later, on our way home - they do seem to work fast in the west.
