Festival of the flat

Today is the festival of the flood in Cyprus... I'm not really sure what it is about, but it's a public holiday and there are generally a lot of water fights. I didn't have a water fight today, but I did gaze out over the water when my friend Paula got a flat tyre whilst driving us back from Pilates. It was a hot wait on this dusty road while we waited for her husband to come and save us.
