Cliff face

No not Cliff Richard - this has not (allegedly) had Botox/face lift.
An interesting day day we headed to Matin's Haven to go to Skomer, you cannot book tickets you arrive, queue and pay on the boat; or rather you don't there are tickets from about 8.00 am for landing - sold out by 8.30 we are told. OK one can go on the cruise round the island - pay on board says the big sign. EXCEPT you can get a ticket that means you don't need to queue and without it you can't get on the boat. The signs don't mention it, the man we asked didn't mention it and many people didn't know this but if you stop at the Information Hut of the Wildlife Trust of South and West Wales that is not affliated to the boat company they will give you a priority ticket, but there is no way of knowing unless you join a queue that you don't know what the queue is for!
Gave up and booked a trip tomorrow - subject to the weather being OK and no landing but we should see the Razorbills coming into roost and hopefully puffins.
Instead we walked some of the Coastal Path in the sunshine. Adam found a mobile phone in the grass as we stood and looked at the view and Jane reunited it with its owner. So we can feel pleased with ourselves.
This is one of the many cliff faces we stood and admired to catch our breath. Fabulous weather and a lovely walk although while Jane and I sat in the pub in walked a family with one exhausted dog and two tired children that had walked from Newport to Fishguard (note there are quite a few Newports and this one is north of Fishguard).
