Kinda Horrigans

Monday 4 June 2012: Moo meets...

829/365: ... Moo.

What a funny old day. This morning everyone was on the verge of grumping because of us being generally late home last night (hence the back blip this morning) and lacking sleep. Plus, the weather was weird. Big fluffy clouds. Big rain. Big fluffy clouds. Sunshine. Grey. Sunshine. And so on and so forth.

This shot was taken on a walk with Maddy Moo this morning - and even that started out with a bit of grumping. This time from Felix who wanted to come but Maddy just wanted a 'girlie walk'. In the end, Felix stayed home with Nick to do some DIY, but why everything has to be so fraught, I don't know. Even the walk went the same way. Started out nicely. She got the grumps because I said she couldn't buy something from the shops but could make something instead... and that was it. The thunder cloud lodged itself atop her bonce and she remained grumpy, crying and whingy for the next 20 minutes. Aaaargh!

Not done a lot else really. Did some gardening - mainly weeding and tidying. Then made a roast dinner for me and the monkeys because Nick's gone out for aboy's night out. After that - another walk around the block with the kids to try to tire them out. But I think they ended up tiring me out far more!

Oh, and we've also got a 'spare cat'. There's a cat called Juno who keeps on coming into our house. He's the spit of Poppy - but grey and slightly stripier. And stupidly friendly. Poppy tolerates him in the spirit of an older sibling, clouting him round the head when he drives her mad. And right now, he's sleeping on the sofa!! We don't feed him. We don't encourage him. He's thrown out countless times. But he keeps on making himself at home.

PS Why do Bank Holiday Mondays always feel like Sundays?
PPS And Bank Holiday Tuesdays also feel like Sundays.
PPPS Morrissey was right. Everyday *is* like Sunday.
