Monday 4 June 2012: Royal Jubilee - the beacons

Spent the evening at Crow Park in Keswick to watch the lighting of the beacons around Keswick. The beacon on Cat Bells could just be seen, but the most impressive was one on Latrigg, (pictured). Fortunately the weather stayed dry for the lighting, and the park was pretty full of people. Royalist or otherwise, it's great when a country come together in celebration, and people seem happy in one anothers company.

I even took a picture for the June challenge, I'll add it to my Blipfolio in the morning.
