Fionn Bheinn (933m)

A morning window in the weather gave us the chance to make for a top. Fionn Bheinn sits up above, but just out of sight of Achnasheen. Rather a soggy trudge up 'easy angled grass slopes' - as is the terminology used frequently by Cameron McNeish. This we have learned translates as a 45º bog. It never ceases to amaze me how water can adhere in such depth to the side of a mountain with the simple addition of a little bit bit of sphagnum.

Lovely views from the top of the surrounding mountains and the approaching change in the weather. Lunch was on the hoof heading back down - no sitting around in the sun today! Got back to the car just before the rain started.
