Tuesday 5 June 2012: Bridge over the River Tweed...
....taken shortly after an excellent pint of Kelham Pale Rider at The Barrels.
Earlier, we'd seen the Scozzies off at Edinburgh Airport; the start of a long journey home to Perth, WA.
Devoid of parental responsibility and with a regally sponsored holiday to spare, we travelled to Berwick-under-Scotland, to survey the 16th Century town battlements and the 21st Century beer emporia. Cafe Anadluz, serving spiced sausage, meat balls and chick peas was a pleasant lunch time find, and the charming theatre and cinema at The Maltings was unexpected, and deeply deserving of our patronage in the near future.
Made a key decision about Scouts today, hopefully it will work out in the long term.
Oh, well done the young Scots for beating Oz at egg chasing, down under. Jolly good.
