Tuesday 5 June 2012: Tara making pumps
Ian and Tara arrived in Malawi at the weekend to do a bit of volunteering.
Ian is a hydrogeologist and will get himself involved in assessing our progress since he was there in 2007, while Tara will do some work in preschools and various other allied programmes.
Ian was really our first volunteer, as a masters Student from Cranfield University, UK. He researched the hand drilling of wells and its suitability for use in our projects.
Looks like Harisen has put them to work very quickly!! Here Tara is in the factory, threading a hole in a pump-head.
Looking frward to catching up with them on July 3.
