par for the course

This morning we were out running around the water meadows and up over Hockley golf course. I have never really been into golf but I can see the attraction of being in such a nice environment.

I love the fact that the footpath we were running on literally crosses one of the greens.

Being on the golf course also got me thinking. On the day when the Irish people voted to legalise same sex marriage, it was being reported here like we were way more progressive in our attitudes to equal rights and sexual equality... I am sure the majority are, yet we still have golf clubs in this country who don't allow woman members. A bit to go yet!
