Tuesday 5 June 2012: Blueweed "Viper's Bugloss"
Four days of celebrations - been and gone - four days off work - been and gone!
There was no evidence of Jubilee celebrations in all the places I have visited in the last four days except the lighting of the beacon last night at Stockton with a firework display and red white and blue infinity Bridge, but even then I didn't see many people there?
I took the day off today from blip-a-blop and went out on the bike (Of course I took the camera lol!) Courtesy of BUMBLER I seem to be getting floral lessons and have been following flower blips learning the different names - been quite an education let me tell you! :-) (best viewed LARGE)
So today I give to you "Viper's Bugloss" - Commonly known as Blueweed and it's Latin name is Echium Vulgare (Check me out Bumbler lol) usually found on waste land, which is about right really as that's where I shot it whilst out on my bike ride. Overall distance covered today 14 miles - you just know that means saddle sore in the morning.
Thank you all for all your wonderful comments and ratings over the last few days - it's been incredible and the Infinity Bridge from yesterday was featured in the spotlight. But all in all the comments of late have been FanBlippingtastic - so thank you all so much!
Until my next offering - "Carry on Blipping" :-)
