There was lots of activity today on the University of Oregon Campus related to the “Prefontaine Classic” track event scheduled for Friday and Saturday.
I watched as a “Nike” poster was put up covering one whole side of a U of O building.

Though it has been forty years since Steve Prefontaine died he lives on in the hearts of the folks of Eugene and people around the world who are dedicated to running.
