Silly Endings

So farewell then, Charlie Kennedy. I was hugely saddened to hear of his death as I arrived at work. What a great, warm, generous and genuine individual he was. Like Cook, also sadly gone before his time, his judgement on Iraq was absolutely correct. And like me, he also had a fondness for drink and company. And don't get me started on Iraq. Especially after a pint.
What about that Sepp Blatter. What sort of name is that anyway. Sepp? Don't get me started.
So, out for a rare Tuesday night sesh. Not the ideal night, but there was a goodly crowd in the back room to hear 'Silly Endings' - a fine pair of musicians. And being Belgian and broke, they also were flogging rolling baccy with their CDs.
But there was more boat club news. Some new member has arrived towing his boat with the mast up. Cheers, mate, that's our overhead telephone line. And then, our gorgeous wee club boat hasn't been tied up properly and has bashed itself on the breakwater and then sunk. George isnae happy. And if George isnae happy...
