We were pleased to be able to walk to school in the sunshine today.

She'd done a great job of her homework this morning- as part of which I discovered that she knows what a mind map is and how to construct one. I had absolutely no clue when I was 5. Nor did I know what digraphs, trigraphs nor compound words were, or even what a phoneme was. Yet I was reading fluently at her age, just as she is. The education world is bonkers.

She's going home with her friend from school today, just for an hour before her swimming lesson. She is very excited. They've been plotting their plans all week!
