No curlers

I had to go down to Ardkinglas this morning to collect the plants I used at Gardening Scotland.

I took this picture on the way out of the estate - they are the gates into the old walled garden, now unused and full of weeds. In the late 1990s the estate was used to film 'My Life So Far', an early Colin Firth movie which I thoroughly enjoyed when it came out in 1999.

We had wanted to use the walled garden for storing plants for a show but were told that we couldn't as the film company wanted to fill it with water and freeze it, using the ice for a curling rink! Clever stuff!
