Watching plaster dry...

... and itching to get painting. This corner of J's bedroom used to house the hot water tank and a horrible MFI cupboard. The tank was taken out in January and the room should have been plastered in February, but my mum passed away unexpectedly at the beginning of Feb and all work on the house stopped. Things have started moving again now and J is finally getting his bedroom done. He has been fantastic and has not moaned at all about the state of his room.

So all we have to do now is:

wait for the plaster to dry, then sand, seal and paint it
get the window surround woodwork restored (the previous owners removed some of it so that they could put in the horrible MFI cupboard)
get a new carpet laid
replace electrical sockets
get shelves made for the alcoves
