Aperture on Life

Kingley Vale

Kingley Vale is a nature reserve near Winchester. It's one of the most significant Yew Groves in Europe and spectacular with trees that are estimated to be over 2000 years old.

The ancient trees were one more beautiful than the next, walking through the darkness of the groves is like stepping back in time and a glimpse of what Britain would have been like before man took over.

I was expecting a very steep route to climb up onto the top of the South Downs to see the incredible views over the groves to the sea in the distance but it wasn't that taxing.

I've added a couple of extra pics but have blipped in a hurry.. 9am to 5pm without electricity!  Great weather so I won't miss it in the garden.
