What a load of..
Rain.. sleety rain.. high winds and well.. more rain.. the harder 'soak you to the skin' version. Great for flying kites in the rain though.. if you like flying kites in the rain..
Royal Cornwall Show today and we (The Pirates of St Piran) have been performing on the BBC stage ~ indoors thank goodness. An hour of sea shanties and general piratical shinnanigans ensued... It was a blast. Wealso met Paul Young (the 80's crooner), he stayed and listened to the show which was cool as he was signing copies of his new recipe book (go figure that diversification in career!) I did think I should blip one of my pics of him with various assorted Pirates but decided against it.
I love the Royal Cornwall Show, so many stalls selling everything from teddy bears to tractors.. watching the livestock and handling displays etc etc..the list goes on and on. Camilla was there.. as were armed Police officers..
Funny thing... Security were checking bags for offensive weapons prior to folk getting in, however I wandered up dressed as a Pirate with a bloody great sword at my side and they just totally ignored me.. so let me get this right.. An old man with a pen knife for peeling his apple is a possible terrorist but a man dressed as a Pirate carrying a sword is just 'an everyday law abiding member of the public..
I still made a point of avoilding the Rozzers.. the last thing I wanted was to end up in a cell for the day.
No.. really.. It is true I tell ya.. No Bull !
Loved this fellow ... such a placid animal and so well looked after. We went into the cattle sheds to see the goings on, and you know what.. It stank. Of Talcum powder..! One woman was even vacuming her cattle... maybe I should have blipped that pic but well 'Tommy' here (Tommy Steele ~ Little White Bull) just grabbed my fancy.
