Face to face with a reef lobster!

Great first day of diving around the Islands of Maumere Bay, Flores.
Dive 1 was a drift dive along a channel between an island and the
mainland. Saw a white tip reef shark and spotted eagle rays along a
drop-off at 30m, followed by a school of 30+ bump head parrotfish at
around 15m (each over 1.5m long!).

Dive 2 was along the edge of an island that sadly had a village of
over 1000 people swept away by a tsunami in December 1992, following
7.8 R earthquake nearby. The reef wall had 3m wide crack in it, caused
by the quake.
