Emulsion

A coconut oil-in-water emulsion, made by some A level students visiting for a week of work experience.  I wasn't officially involved but was giving my colleague a hand, then she was called way to a first aid incident so I had to take over. Managed to chat about a few chemistry things, then let them lose on our little electron microscope to have a look at some gold particles followed by a dead bee (natural causes), just before their lunch.

Medical emergencies apart it was a mad day, including an ear-bending from one of my nutty professors.  At times like these I think of Red Dwarf's Arnold Rimmer, and am reminded not to take on responsibility that lies with those paid to accept it.
