Rather excited by the arrival of this gorgeous book today - every child should have a copy. Today I planned our next term's writing activities around it. I'm going to enjoy teaching with this book just as much as the children will enjoy their learning. I've also managed to get 12 reports done by working from 10am to 10pm with only meal breaks, dog caring breaks, telephone call breaks and 'sending a polite email' breaks. The email was to the colonel asking him to trot on with this wall building business.
All in all it's been another peaceful day in this cottage. Briar was not supposed to be walked today and the weather has meant that Molly hasn't wanted to be walked but... the girls failed to do their big business (TMI?) in the garden and I had a bit of a headache by 4 o'clock so I did sneak them out to the field for just ten minutes. Briar was obviously on her lead and I kept her walking on the short grass to keep her belly dry and clean. It actually seemed to perk her up a little but she has since slumped again. She had a good night though, she's been tucking into her recovery food and she's not been licking her wound today so so far, so good.
Eat, Pray, Love has arrived from Love Film. I struggled a bit with the book but for some reason the film appeals. It's normally the other way around for me. If I have another productive day tomorrow I'll be able to watch it in the evening. A movie without Husband, wine and crisps. That'll be odd.
