Field of Ghosts

What a fantastic evening last night. Lunasa were in cracking form (see rather blurry extra, we were all moving!) - they were enjoying the whole thing as much as we were and gave a blistering set. It was part of a Uillean pipe festival - to see Cillian in action, just listen to the music rather than watch the not very good video. An not very typical gentle moment. The gig was in the rather posh Victorian Eccles hotel - not a bad view from there either - see other extra!

Thick fog this morning though and I had to nip into Schull but on the way back the clouds were rolling back and the sunshine broke through. I pulled into a hedge to get these rather amazing clouds looming over the little ruined house - and so much green!

Much interest in the EIRE markings - a useful website tells you more about them if you really can't wait to find out more. The chaps responsible were usually holed up in a tiny lookout post high up on the mountain - this is the one the Sheep's Head boys had to linger in and it's a good couple of miles from the EIRE sign (number 31 incidentally).
