Saturday 9 June 2012: By the seaside
We went to the beach today, optimistically taking our swimming costumes. It was warm and sunny here, but on the coast it was cloudy and blowing a gale. Nevertheless the people who were on holiday were determined to have their day on the beach whatever happened, so they were lying there in their bikinis soaking up the "sun". I think most of them were northern Europeans.
There was zero interest in the pedalos, except for the couple using them as a windbreak and placidly reading books in their deckchairs. We sat at a beach bar and had a glass of sangria to pretend it was summer, and then headed home via the scenic route. I took a few other photos I liked, but this seemed to sum up the beach best!
