Coton Manor

I had a wonderful day out at Coton Manor in Northamptonshire with my good friend G.  Contrary to the forecast, the sun came out which made taking photos so much more enjoyable.  The roses were just wonderful (see extra photo) and I also spotted this water lily emerging (and looking a bit like a poached egg!).  There was also a wonderful wild flower meadow (so rare these days) and some woodlands, which a couple of months previously would have been carpeted with bluebells.

We also went to a meeting of the photography group at U3A - definitely something I'll be joining, their photography days out sounded great.
