Saturday 9 June 2012: Skipton Gala
So the parentals have arrived and duly admired new house :) We had a very slow start to the morning with much dozing. Eventually we had poached eggs and B for breakfast before heading into town to get a joint for Sunday and to see if the pottery stall was in the market (every time my mother comes she is on the look out for the pottery stall and they are never here when she is!)
We returned home for the next exciting instalment of the new house, we now live on the Gala route! Queue lots of random vehicles, pick ups with gala queens on the back and an odd man whose made a name for himself by putting a saucepan on his head and singing in the style of a darlek (I could have blipped him but really I do think he's done Skipton disservice enough in his quest for fame and gala opening;) There were many odd shots from this morning but I think this guy just pretty much summed up a Dales Farmer perfectly, I imagine if you asked him anything all he'd say in response would be 'I dayre say'
This afternoon we've been for a nice cup of tea in the mist at Parcevall Hall, Simon has taken Bob to the Gala fun fair at the park and this evening we're heading out for a Meal at the Bull at Broughton all is good:)
