175/365: Big Bang Day

A quick snap on my way home from work to celebrate one of Bingley's most famous sons, the astronomer Sir Fred Hoyle, who was born 100 years ago today. 

He was born in Gilstead and educated at Bingley Grammar School and perhaps best known for coining the phrase "Big Bang" during a BBC radio broadcast in 1949.

I think Bingley should have a "Rodney Bewes Cul-de-sac" next.
