New Deck

A while ago, I posted a picture of the rotting wood on our back deck.  Today, it will all be removed, and a new structure will replace it.  We are using a type of hardwood called Ipe which is very resistant to insect damage and rot.  An enormous truck arrived yesterday afternoon, and delivered what looks like an entire small lumber yard which is now carefully stacked in the driveway.  Let the hammering and banging begin!
